Their attention to detail, technical proficiency, and ability to adapt to evolving tools and platforms help maintain the integrity of our patent records and streamline workflows across the firm. Whether monitoring USPTO activity, managing global deadlines, or generating complex reports, our docketing team is a dependable partner in delivering timely, high-quality service.
Trish Cupolo
IP Docketing Specialist
Trish joined the Jones Burke team in January 2025. As a key member of our docketing professionals, she brings over 20 years of experience in legal administration and docketing management to the firm. Her expertise spans both domestic and international intellectual property matters, with a focus on patent and trademark docketing.
Prior to joining Jones Burke, Trish worked as a Docketing Administrator at a boutique IP law firm, where she managed complex IP portfolios for multinational clients. She was also the Branch Office Manager for a large national firm focused on Intellectual Property.
In her current role at Jones Burke, Trish supports the firm’s attorneys and clients by:
- Monitoring docketing intake and USPTO Patent Center for incoming correspondence and actions
- Docketing U.S. and foreign patent dates
- Generating and monitoring daily docket reports to ensure compliance with all deadlines
- Managing report requests from attorneys and other IP staff members
- Maintaining the integrity of the firm's IP database, which minimizes response time for internal and external client requests
Josh Beltran
Senior IP Docketing Specialist
Josh joined the Jones Burke team in December of 2022. As part of our experienced team of docketing professionals, Josh brings over 20 years of legal assistant and docketing management experience. Prior to joining Jones Burke, Josh worked as an IP patent administrator for RWS/inovia in New York, where he was responsible for obtaining POAs, assignment documents, and the filing of 92bis. He served as the point of contact for Spanish agents and worked closely with translation partners/providers to ensure filing deadlines dates were met. Josh also worked in docketing positions at several small firms, where he assisted in preparing both domestic and international patent application documents.
In his current role, Josh supports the attorneys and clients of Jones Burke by:
- Monitoring docketing intake and USPTO PAIR for incoming correspondence and actions
- Docketing U.S and foreign patent dates
- Generating and monitoring daily docket reports ensuring compliance with meeting all deadlines and updates
- Managing report requests from attorneys and other IP staff members
- Maintaining the integrity of our information, which minimizes response time for requests from our internal and external clients
